What is a Delinquent act?

A “child who has been found to have committed a delinquent act” means a child who, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 985, Florida Statutes, is found by a court to have committed a violation of law or to be in direct or indirect contempt of court. Violations of law as they relate to delinquency normally mean those acts which if committed by adults are crimes.

It is the Juveniles/Parents responsibility to keep the Clerk’s Office informed of their correct address.

Where do I make restitution payments?

Restitution payments are made through the Juvenile Division located in the Clerk of Circuit Court.

Your restitution order will indicate the amount of restitution due and the fees imposed. Payments are accepted through the mail or in person. Money orders should have your name and complete case number.

Your payments should be mailed to the Clerk’s Office nearest you.
